We had our annual bowling outing (WinterFest) on Sunday, Dec 16th at Zone28. Students, teachers, volunteers and families had a great night with bowling, arcade games and great food. Below are some pictures from the night. MAP Education Committee has organized a Live Puppet Show titled "Adam Faces a Bully" for Friday, Dec 7th @7:30pm at MAP. All students and parents are invited. This year, tickets will be sold online. If you would like to pay via cash or check, you can still do so by selecting the appropriate payment option from the online form and then make the payment to the office. MAP Sunday School met at the Marshall Elementary School gym on Sunday, Nov 11th. Students, teachers, staff and volunteer parents had a great time. Below are some pictures from the day. Our annual open house will be held this Sunday, Sep 30th. All parents are encouraged to attend. Here is the schedule:
MAP Education Committee has organized a Teachers' Training session for our Sunday School teachers on Oct 27th. Two professionals from SoundVision will train teachers from MAP and other area masajid. See the flyer below for details.  Click on the image for a larger version  Summer is over and MAP Sunday School is opening their doors for new and returning students on Sunday, Sep 9th @11am. Since it is the first day of the school, it is super important that all students are in the classroom by 10:55am so that we can start on time.
If you have not registered your child yet, please come at 10am so that you can register them and take the orientation at 10:15am. Parent orientation is mandatory for all parents. If you have registered online and did not take the orientation, please also come before 10:15am so that you can attend the last orientation session. Finally, all parents are required to sign the required forms before their child can be accepted to school. If you have not signed them yet (e.g., you registered your child online), please do so before the classes start. Below is the schedule for the first day:
 Registrations for the new school year will be held on Sunday, Aug 26th @11am-1pm. This year parents can pre-register using our new online registration form or print the the pdf version from parents page and bring it to registration day. Attending the registration day is mandatory for all parents (whether you use the online registration form or not) to attend the parent orientation, sign necessary forms, and buy the books. Students are highly encouraged to attend as well so that they can meet the teachers and take placement tests (if new to the school).
Note that at least one parent must be a MAP member for children to attend the school. You can become a member during registration day. Ice cream social will follow the registrations. There is a teachers' meeting scheduled at 1pm. For those parents who cannot make the Aug 26th date, we will have a late registration session on Sep 9th, @10am-10:30am. |
